My dear friend and fellow artist, Jonathan Gleed, beautifully painted this piano. It is one of many throughout Oak Bay during the summer months. This one is located at the Oak Bay Marina.

Just returned from a magical, exuberant, colourful journey to Santa Fe. Perched at 7200 feet in the Sangre de Cristo foothills, this little gem of a city is bursting with art, crooked streets and beautiful adobe landmarks. There are over 300 galleries overflowing with paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture; an artists dream come true!

While judging the super awesome Opus Outdoor Painting Challenge today, I was struck with a big pang of gratitude and love for my community. We have so many talented artists of all ages in our beautiful city - so many hiding under a bushel, and then they all came out to shine like diamonds. Some of us may be artists (who market ourselves) and then there are those so incredibly talented people who just show up out of no where and wow us!! I was wowed today - thank you Opus and all the amazing staff, you are good for our creative soul!
